Alice and Linda's Story:
"On the occasions when I first met Katie I couldn’t help noticing the warmth and interest she showed to my mother.
My mother, who is now approaching her one hundredth birthday and suffers from dementia, seemed to connect with Katie and thought of her as a friend.
I asked Katie if she would consider sitting with my mother when I wanted some time off. She accepted and I continue after many sittings to be impressed by her desire to please and do a good job.
Before Katie does a sitting, she prepares yet another stimulating activity. I am always pleasantly surprised by the ingenuity and resourcefulness that she demonstrates, be it a sentimental journey back to the 1930/40’s with the aid of a computer, or word and picture games, chair exercises, quizzes, drawing or reading stories together, the activities are endless. Needless to say, my mother has benefited greatly and looks forward to every visit.
I would thoroughly recommend Katie to visit your loved one, knowing that he/she would be very well looked after."

Daughter of 99 year old client
"I met Katie whilst we were both volunteers at a day centre for older people. In this role we engaged the clients in fun activities, provided gentle exercise and served refreshments. Katie is a very kind, patient and honest lady. She takes time for everyone and is a great listener as well as being a barrel of laughs. To spend time with her is a joy as she is great company."
Belinda
Day Centre Volunteer
"Katie is enthusiastic and great with older people. She worked well on a one to one basis and also took groups of around 20 plus clients, doing exercise and activities with them. She has a calming and lovely nature and I really enjoyed working with her."

"I would highly recommend engaging in Katie’s services. She has made such a difference and her visits to my mother are well thought out and always positive. Katie is resourceful and clearly uses her initiative on every occasion. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services and be forever grateful for the positive impact she has made."

"Dear Katie
Whatever you do with him, you’re doing well! He obviously enjoys it and it makes a lovely change for him (and for me!) Keep up the good work!"

"Katie is naturally a very cheery person and the atmosphere is cheerful as soon as she walks into the room, the residents responding to her warmth and enthusiasm.
The (group) sessions are very worthwhile. Physically beneficial and mentally stimulating, the choice between the two are nicely balanced."
